-Usually smaller than promyelocytes -Has a large nucleus and lacks nuceoli -Nucleus may be flattened on one side or slightly indented. -There is variable degree of chromatin clumping -The N:C ratio is 2:1 to 1:1. -Cytoplasm is abundant and contains some primary granules as well as numerous secondary granules. |
