-Fine, medium or coarse blue granules with uniform distribution within the red cell. -Represents ribosomal RNA which is precipitated during staining. -Found in conditions such as thalassemia, hemoglobinopathies, sideroblastic anemias, heavy metal poisioning and pyrimidine-5'- nucleotidase deficiency. |
