| Important notes: | Chlamydia / GC Screen by PCR is preferred testing method. GC CULTURE must be ordered any time a swab is submitted for Gonorrhoeae culture only. Do Not Order ROUTINE CULTURE for GC CULTURES. On rectal or oropharyngeal specimens, one must make the specific request, i.e.,SUSPECT GC. It is not necessary to add an order for a GC Culture on a Routine Culture of genital specimens. | ||
