• Coding is necessary whenever a new vial of strips are opened or when changing vials.. 
• Insert the code key. Photos
• Power up the meter. Photos
• Enter the test strip information into the Accu-Chek instrument.
• Leave the code key in the meter cradle and go on to testing or power off.
