Pastoral Care:
Our Pastoral Care department is here to help and support our patients and their families while receiving care at the Interim LSU Public Hospital. Members of the pastoral care department pride themselves in providing excellent spiritual care, counseling, and emotional support to our patients, their families, as wel l as the hospital staff. The Pastoral Care staff is committed to providing appropriate and compassionate spiritual care while respecting each individual's own tradition and/or religious, spiritual beliefs.

When to Notify a Chaplin
Patient's condition begins to deteriorate
Patient or family member requests assistance with a spiritual or ethical decision
Patient requires support in coping with his or her diagnosis
Patient or family member expresses the need for pastoral counseling
Patient or family is dealing with end-of-life issues
