The LSU Interim
Hospital, at 2021 Perdido Street, currently has 237 staffed inpatient beds,
which means that the hospital has staff who can care for 237 inpatients.
The hospital reopened
November 17, 2006, and has been reopening units as staffing and building
repairs have permitted.

The maximum
hospital bed capacity is 301. Hiring
staff is still a challenge. As more
nurses are hired, more beds will become available.
